A Little About Me:
I am that person who has always wanted to be a photographer. Growing up in a very artsy house in New York (think flat-roof contemporary) with artful parents who went to Pratt and had many art-centric friends visiting, I was absolutely drawn to a life filled with art! I knew by the time I was 15 and studying photography in school that I had found my art form. By the time I was 17, I was managing a studio for a well-known portrait photographer and learning about the influence that nature can have on one's work. Upon leaving New York and heading for Boston, I soon found myself working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Over the course of 10 amazing years working at the museum, my happiest days were while working with printed reproductions in the Product Development Department. My job was to use the museum's collection for inspiration in developing product for the MFA's renowned catalog. I loved working with such a gorgeous collection, and worked on honing my skills and eye for fine art and photography during this time. All of these gifts and design sensibilities have stayed with me and have inspired my work ever since.
What others know about me is that I love people. I love talking with people, I love connecting with people, I love photographing them, and I love finding the essence of who they are by having an opportunity to capture them in the moment.
I live in the Boston area and when I am not behind a camera, I can be found adoring my family, cooking and enjoying good food, teaching about where our food comes from to children, thinking about the environment and finding happiness with my four-legged boys Seamus and George.
Have a look at my work, and if you like what you see, I would love to work with you and capture a few moments in time with you. Contact me and we can talk. I look forward to hearing from you!
